Pre-Med Program

Guanin is a third-party program provider in terms of the services we provide here, in the Dominican Republic, to university professors and student groups, that come for hands-on medical/nursing/therapy experience.

The Guanin Center offers great opportunities for pre-med students of the sectors Medicine, Nursing, Public Health and other Health care professionals to experience an international placement, cross-cultural training, volunteer services or to approve the Spanish language and the Spanish Medical Terminology as part of our total immersion program.

The Dominican Republic is in demand for medical-related service trips, because it is one of the few places where foreign medical students can actually have some interactions with patients, as long as they are affiliated with an approved organisation like Guanin, Inc. Guanin has its own medical clinic located in the commuity of la Piedra with 1,300 patients and we have cultivated excellent working relationships with both a large public hospital in Santo Domingo and an HIV/AIDS clinic in nearby.
