Report School Year, 2016/2017

We have a super successful year school program 2016/2017, we end up with:

316 kids from 45 days to 5 years, plus 265 families, we work directly with them.

At the Interact Daycare 22 kids from 45 days to 1 years and 11 months old, to the Dr. Lynne Guitar school 127 kids from 2 years old to 5 years old.

Volunteers who visit the Guanin Center, school year program 2016/2017:

2 female volunteers from Austria

13, 3 males and 10 females volunteers from Germany

258, 64 males and 194 females volunteers from the USA

1, female volunteer from Canada.

Was Elected for the USA Guanin Directive Board Members, for a two year period, 2017-2019.

Thank you for all of your support and kindness. But it won’t be possible without the generosity of compassionate supporters like you. I’ve seen time and time again just how powerful and kindhearted our Guanin family is.

For this year school program 2017/2018, we want to extend our daycare building in the two story building, the first floor we will have the Day Care Interact Travel on one side on the other side, we will have a room dedicated to Nick family, to implement occupational therapy with Howard University, Department of Occupational Therapy, on the second floor we will have the medical clinic, (UNAP La Piedra).

Dominican is a very poor country, so when a child is born in la Piedra from a Haitian parents, it is literally a matter of life and death. Too many parents don’t know where to get help, no matter Haitian or poor Dominican — they don’t know how to breastfeed or take care of their child with a peperrisimo condition. They are forced to choose which of their children gets food, medicine or other services ... which child gets to grow stronger and go to school ... which child gets to survive, the only option they can see is Guanin!.

Donation:

We will receive US $ 10,000 from Nick Family, we will invest that money to implement the building, our budget is about $ 35,000 for the two floor building.

This believe that we can meet our goals because we are Guanin family

. Please, we don’t want to turn away a single child who is in need or suffering for some critical condition. It is absolutely critical that we reach this goal — otherwise; we cannot help the children who are struggling to eat, educated, health ... children who are at risk of becoming malnourished, or need special care, facing the risk of death ... all from a condition that we know how to fix.

Our vision is that while all children are born equal, they don't all have the same opportunities to flourish. Our vision is providing the opportunity to receive an education and learn to their full potential. It is our hope that our efforts can be multiplied to allow the opportunity for every child's gifts and challenges to be met with support. It is our goal to break the cycle of poverty and change peoples´ destinies. We must not tolerate such disparities; help us to give a hand to those kids and youth.
